Favorite Medieval Weaponry?

...an ornate bronze sword was found with a human skeleton. The sword was found sheathed in a wooden scabbard finished in black lacquer. The scabbard had an almost air-tight fit with the sword body. Unsheathing the sword revealed an untarnished blade, despite the tomb being soaked in underground water for over 2,000 years.

    Imagine finding that! Awesome!

Modern day warfare we'd just play Justin Bieber really loud until they kill themselves. Not sure which is worse.

I'm not a huge fan of the katana, maybe I'm biased because everyone sees them as the divine wrath of God.

Geneva Convention bans such war crimes.

My world history teacher knew his shit. Learned alot of out-of-the-way-information in that class. But yeah, I'd imagine diseased horse corpse really can break up a front line. Never thought about the long term effects via biological warfare. I wonder if plague victims and lepers were treated as such lol

Yeah but you guys have Hockey and friendly people.  And you're nice enough to send all of your good hockey players to Chicago so that we win. :) Your charity knows no bounds.

Greek Fire was pretty legit. Imagine trying to board or ram an enemy ship and they swiveled a nozzle your way, and out spewed this nightmare

Crossbows are pretty hectic! The Pope banned their use against Christians at some point in the middle ages. Yep, he pretty much nerfed real life

Mine's the battering ram. Nothing like crashing down a castle's wooden gates and masonry walls.

Haha, now I'm just imagining people with the plague volunteering to be shot from catapults into castles while still alive. What a way to die

The Halberd of course! Other than that I would choose Greek Fire but I'm lost on whether it's medieval or not. I don't think it is.

During medieval times, Greek Fire was popularized by the Byzantine Empire, though different methods of Greek Fire have been around prior, I assume since the early or pre-Hellenic period, given its name

I've got to go with the simple elegance of the classic Scottish Claymore.  "The Gods gave you two hands, and you use them both for your weapon. I can respect that."

Can't argue with that! I'm surprised it took someone this long to bring the claymore up Definitely one of my favourite blades!

I guess I'd have to say any type of gunpowder weapon, probably cannons. Swords and pikes are fine but nothing beats a BOOM stick!
