After seeing Matt Feeney's discussion of Player versus Character Morality, I decided a discussion to see what Alignment you truly are, that best describes your actions.

No I would be Chaotic Evil, but when I said bad I meant as in the actual bad, like a bad smell

In my mind I think Chaotic Neutral is the most challenging alignment to play. Sometimes you have to make decisions that are perhaps not in the best interests of the survivability of your character. Quite possibly this is a flaw in my thinking ……but……every time I go down this road I think of the character as an overtly eccentric, perhaps even schizophrenic, individual that is seen muttering to himself before attacking the Jarl of Windhelm because you don’t like the colour of the rug on the floor. Many moons ago when I played this alignment in another game I drew up a complex table with 100 possible and some polar opposite actions and used chance to determine my actions. It could be anything from running in a crucial battle to collecting herbs as a follower is slaughtered, or giving your most prized weapon to a giant, perhaps overtly stealing something from a host as he is talking to you. I don’t know that just me, my characters are usually short lived but fun to play. For the most part I would say I play Neutral Evil.

I get intense pleasure out of killing hold guards and keeping their helmets like some strange hold guard serial killer I think on my main I have about 350 helms in a chest, each one lovingly cared for, plus I like the guard helms.

    Further to my last post.................

In all fairness the guards started it by disclosing to me they knew I was an assassin, what assassin would allow their identity to be common barracks talk ??   The last straw, if you like,  that sent me on this path of hold guard destruction happened in solitude when a guard said he knew who I was “hail sithis”, then not 10 seconds later, I botched a kill. This same guard had the gall to attack me and he was the only witness…????….. I will give you hail sithis……the dirty rotten scumbag…….and that was the start of a beautiful relationship between me and the hold guards

Somewhere between Neutral Good and Lawful Neutral.

That's what most of my characters end up being.

Arnau, on the other hand, is a shining example of Lawful Good gone horribly wrong. :)

Lawful Good in legal matters, Neutral Good in moral matters, Lawful Neutral in political matters, Lawful Evil in money matters,True Neutral in family matters and Chaotic Evil in sexual matters and Neutral Evil in everything else not covered above.

In short, just like the rest of us...

I'd say chaotic good, like most here. Must come with the nature of being a geek I guess, like not quite fitting in with society so therefore developing a fierce individualism yet maintaining a gentle spirit.

What about Nelaf, the thread's creator? What are you?
