“Nut, your magic to me is: not only having a strong and believable main character, but to give life to all the so called "NPCs" on Aelberon’s path.”

    -From ackrueger (Steam forums)

“The emotions, character interactions, holy devotion... makes me just want to wait for the next installment and not play my game anymore. :-)”

    -From EbonHawk (Steam forums)

“It makes a nice change and a big difference to see things from the dragon’s perspective. I myself actually consider this to be one of your better chapters. The interaction between Alduin and Mirmulnir is awesome to say the least and at the same time you've delivered a big helping of lore along with some great insights into Alduin’s plans. There's so much between the lines here and bits keep leaping out from the page.... Blog...”

-From Sotek (Tamriel Tales Host, Tamriel Vault)

"Ok, so I´ve finished the Vampire Symposium. And I absolutely love it, Lisette!

There was one moment that really stood out for me. The moment when Vastaril wakes up and see the...results. There is something really powerful to not see the battle itself, but to see its results. It... Moves you. You can only imagine what happened, how many have died and what the survivors had to do to survive."

-From Karver (Classics Host, Tamriel Vault)

“I think these chapters are the single best source of Crystal Tower lore I have ever read. When I wrote the build I was using I never envisioned seeing an account of its last days as vividly as that which you have written. This line:

“I am…  Äelberon of Dusk. Slayer of the Demon Bet, Knight of the Crystal Tower, Knight-Paladin of Auri-El. I come from Summerset Isles; a land of shimmering, blue seas and golden coasts. Of orange blossoms and rainbow-hued canah birds. The land of Eton Nir and rolling green hills, of great cities of glass… and crystal.  I am Altmer...”

Just makes me want to play as a KotCT again.”

-From Phil (Lore Host, Tamriel Vault)

I am very, very happy to present to you the complete Part 1 of Straag Rod Book 1: Fate Goes Ever as it Must. Pick your poison, it's available via Dropbox in both Word and PDF forms, and don't hesitate to leave a comment below. Especially if something doesn't work!  Or, if something does, I won't mind either. It's my first shot at presenting something like this and who knows what will happen? I'm profoundly humbled by what's been said about Straag Rod.  I'm also humbled by the members of The Story Corner, their talent as writers and their quality as human beings; their kindness, generosity, and willingness to help.  Straag Rod has truly been an experience, and I'm looking forward to starting Part 2 in January, along with participating in AMOST.

    Happy Holidays!

I swear this story is like my White Whale. I long to write something

Yeah, I couldn't find the actual ToC for it, so I just commented here instead. Still not privy to SE's navigation, but oh well.

Chapter 21. Aelberon and I shared a bath again  What a chapter! The descriptions of the sights, the smells and the colours really brought the setting to life. Told as they were through Of Dusk's eyes, the bittersweet juxtaposition of his memories over the...  more

I felt so bad for our knight in chapter 20, such a light start and such a grim finish. The light and the dark are strongly contrasted in that chapter.

I love that chapter (well, I love every chapter, but this is one of my very favorite). It's a sea of sheer beauty.

Yes, some of strangest chapters to write. But very fun.
