Rust

  • Blistered amber rust
    perverts our soil. Sand and dust
    of the bones of giants;
    shining steel beams.
    The american dream
    has collapsed.

    Man's miscreations
    judged with contempt;
    Mother, Matriarch --
    eyes unveiled,
    casts aside
    her impartial scales.

    Beautiful poem, Legion. Loved this! You have a way with words.

    Oh wow. A Fallout poem? I like the suddenness of the beginning, it just starts right away with the message. And that last line is very... poignant. Good job on this!

      Thanks Felkros! I said the same thing when I was ready to post it. "Am I sure? A Fallout poem?" But I think it worked! Thanks for checking it out.
