    Wolf Girl of Skyrim 3

    14 years later.

         “How many?” asked Kovu.
         “Six, I think.” Replied Nika.
“Seven. See the stag behind that tree there?” Raam thought at Nika.
“Go away. Get out of my head!”
“Sorry sister, I’m a bit invested in here. You realize I could bag all these meat sacks before your brother there could say ‘woof’ right?”
“Yeah, you’re pretty good at killing.” Nika thought with such malice, a low snarl rumbled in her throat.

“He’s talking again isn’t he?” Asked Kovu.
         “No.”
“Yes he is, How can you even talk to him after-”
“Kovu, why don’t you circle around so our family can eat tonight?”
         “Fine, but this isn’t over.”
Keeping low, Kovu edged around the deer, making sure not to step on anything noisy. Nika scanned the animals, checking for any weaknesses. As she did, she noticed a doe was limping oddly on her right forehoof. An angry red gash ran the length of the mid joint.

“You can’t keep blaming me for Char and... Rinviir.”
         “Watch me.”
Visions of that night Flashed into her head as Nika was jerked back to it through Raam.

It was night. The air was bone cold and Nika wanted to curl up with her brothers and their warm fur, but she had to stay awake. Humans had been scouring the forest for something over the past few weeks. Alpha thought it was because of Nika and Raam’s training. Nika’s screams of agony coupled with the howls characteristic of a werewolf Probably had caught their attention. Thinking there was a monster roaming about and killing young maidens, they had sent their hunters out to kill the beast. Alpha posted guards every night to watch over the family. Last night was Kovu’s turn, Tomorrow was Char’s, but tonight was Nika’s and she was exhausted. The day had been spent exploring and hunting and she was dead tired.
“Why don’t you let me take over? I feel fine.” Asked Raam.
“What, and wake up everyone with my bone chilling screams? I think that would defeat the purpose.”
“you wouldn’t have to morph, just let me take control. Then you can zone out. It’s not sleeping, but it’s my equivalent.”
“Is that were you go when I don’t feel you? Or hear you thinking?”
“Yep. I’m kinda dead to the world when that happens. when I ‘wake up’ I find that you are not in the same place, and a few hours are missing from the day.”
“I Don’t know... We’ve never done this before...”
“What better time would there be to try it? Besides, it’s not like you’re gonna miss anything.” Nika was silent as she considered it, Raam watched her thought process and knew she was coming around to the idea.
“Fine, but you better wake me if there’s any trouble.”
         “Sure. Okay, I’m coming in...”
Nika felt Raam’s consciousness press up against her own. instead of blocking it, she let it pass and moved into the space he had left behind.
“This feels weird.” She said. She was still looking out on the still, cold night, and she could still feel the bitter cold, but it was like someone was describing it to her, and she had never been there at all. She also found it doubly weird that she had no control over where her eyes wandered as Raam scanned the area.
“Your body is so... weak! and hairless, and... Woah. not used to to an empty space here!” Raam said and felt her crotch. “And how do you manage these?” and he lifted her breasts.
“Stop that! Now get to watching, and don’t forget to wake me if there’s trouble...”
         “Gotcha.”
Raam settled into her body and began to check the tree line and watch for movement. He felt her consciousness mellow and her thoughts grow silent. Finally it was as if he were alone. Hours past and he kept watch. He became stir crazy soon however and started fidgeting with the bed of pine needles he sat on.
“This is so boring!” He thought. “Maybe this wasn’t such a great idea after all.” He glanced back at the sleeping wolves. Then back at the forest.
“They’re kinda hidden here aren’t they? I’m sure no one would mind if I went exploring a little...” He got up and crept in the direction of the stream. Once there he sat down on the bank and splashed the water around. This scared a frog and caused it to jump right at his feet. In a flash he grabbed it and dangled it by it’s long back legs.
“Why hello there. Where you off to?” he said aloud. The frog croaked and stared at him blankly. Throwing it up, Raam threw back his head and attempted to swallow it whole. it instantly got stuck halfway down with it’s legs still dangling from his mouth. Raam’s eyes grew large as he choked, strangled gurgles erupted from his throat as the frog wriggled to free itself. Pulling on the hind legs, Raam plucked it from his gullet and tossed it into the stream, where it flopped onto the bank, croaked menacingly and hopped off. Gasping for breath, Raam sputtered: “So THAT’S what that whole chewing thing is for...”

Suddenly, from the direction of the den, a loud bark and snarl rang out. Raam jumped to his feet and sprinted back, slapping himself across the face for his stupidity.

The den was in turmoil as wolves and men brawled about, Alpha sparred with three at once, dodging their spears and harassing their archers while Kovu ripped at the neck of one who had fallen. Char and his mother, Faron where backed against a slab of white rock as they guarded something on the ground. Raam charged into the fray, catching the humans by surprise. Even in Nika’s form, he ripped and tore at them with animalistic fury. Wrenching one’s head up, he jumped on the man’s back and sunk his teeth into the man’s neck, ripping a chunk off. Blood spurted from it as Raam flung the man to the ground and rushed at another, slashing him across the face with his nails and tackling him to the ground.

Raam glanced around, seeing Alpha and Kovu cornering the last of the archers, leaving the bodies of of his comrades to bleed out on the pine needles. Char and Faron were doing the same to one very massive man with and even more impressive hammer. The man started to swipe it toward them as Raam looked back and finished the man as he did the other.

The screams of the humans were joined then by a wailing howl of a wolf. Raam saw the noise come from Char, who lay crumpled at the hammer man’s feet. Screeching with fury, Alpha and Kovu pounced on the man, Followed by Faron and Raam. Together they brought him to the ground and tore him apart, piece by piece.
“WHERE WERE YOU, NIKA?!” Alpha thundered. Raam had never seen him this angry.

         “It’s not Nika, it’s Raam.”
“What? Don’t you lie to me, girl. I will slay you right here! Look what you did to your Brothers!”
Raam looked to where Faron lay weeping. Rinviir lay in a bloody pool, arrows protruding from his body. He didn’t move. Char lay whimpering and thrashing about, his left front leg mangled by the man’s hammer.

“Alpha, I did this, Nika was tired so I offered to take over. She didn’t want to but I didn’t give up. She was so tired, She agreed. But I got restless and went exploring... I’m sorry.”
“You’re SORRY?! MY SON IS DEAD! Char is crippled! I trained you! I let you join this family and THIS is what you give me? Leave now and never EVER come back!”

     “Alpha, please!”
“GO!” Raam gave a wolf like whine and turned his attention to his mind.
         “Nika? NIKA?!” Raam yelled inwardly.
“Hmm? Whats going on?” She asked sleepily.
“I’m sorry, i’m so sorry, please, Nika, I didn’t mean to I swear...” he pleaded.
“For what? what’s happened?” said Nika, alarmed now. Raam looked over to the body of Rinviir and the thrashing form of Char. Nika’s mind froze, her thoughts went still. her whole being exploded with such pain, Raam instantly burst into tears and feel to the ground, paralyzed.
         “I’m sorry...”

Nika flashed forward to present time with Kovu and the deer. A tear rolled down her cheek which she hastily wiped away as it was blurring her vision.
“Stop remembering! Go away, Raam, it’s bad enough I have to share this body with you, I don’t need you to make my life more miserable than you’ve already made it.”
“I just need you to understand...-”
“Understand? What I understand is that you attracted hunters to my family, then tricked me into leaving their side while you go pissing around the forest while the hunters YOU brought to MY den killed MY family that YOU were supposed to protect! What else is there to understand?! I hate you, I wish I could claw you out of me and tear you into pieces! I wish I could bring back my brother, I wish I could fix my other brothers leg but I CAN’T. And it’s because of you that everything has gone to hell in the first place! I WISH I could just kill myself so I can at least take you with me, but I can’t even do THAT! Because of YOU, my dad can barely bring himself to eat what little Kovu, Mom, and I bring back because for some reason he thinks HE caused this all to happen! But he didn’t! YOU did! The very LEAST you can do is never talk to me again, but you won’t even do THAT! So shutup and let me kill this doe so I can clean up YOUR mess!”
Nika Whistled, giving the signal to Kovu. Seconds later he revealed himself on the other side of the clearing. The deer saw him and bolted, right to where Nika was waiting in the brush. She waited for the other deer to pass until the doe came. Jumping up, she latched onto it with her arms and legs, causing it to try and buck her off. Before it could, Nika sunk her sharp teeth into the doe’s neck and wrestled it to the ground. Kovu caught up and dove in too. Together, they ripped at the doe’s neck and waited for it to bleed out. when it finally stopped twitching, Nika slung it over her back and walked with Kovu back to the den, where whats left of her family waited.

Very nice backstory.  Never thought of the wolf form as a second personality, and the idea that a female human form would have a male wolf form is startling.  Reminds me of the His Dark Materials trilogy by Bill Pullman (The Golden Compass).

Glorious.  I love the story thus far and hope you keep going.  :D
Every once in a great while I get a thirst for werewolf fiction.  Now I have something marrying that thirst with Skyrim, couldn't possibly be better.

You did a great job here of showing that Raam is not some sort of beast, or even an evil being that is fighting for life with Nika.  You made it a lot more complex by giving Raam regret and concern, and we have seen growth and maturity in his personality....  more
