A.I.C- Chapter 3, Whiterun

  • Skyrim was hard, the travel was long. Selafyn had made it to what looked like a small meadery outside the walls of Whiterun. He walked along to a small farmstead with a large windmill in the middle...

    Wait no scrap that...

    Windmills don't move around...

    On two legs that is...

A giant was assaulting a poor farm, two warriors and an archer were trying to calm the threat but it was going slightly bad. Selafyn positioned himself by a wall and nocked an arrow to his bow. Aiming at the giant, a strange chill appeared around him as the arrow turned to ice. In his head, Selafyn thought,

    “Wait what is this?”

An all to familiar presence echoed gently in his mind.

“Relax Frost Step. Its just some minor magic I know.”

The arrow was released, soaring through the air and embedding itself in the giants neck. In an instant, the giant turned to a sheer statue of ice. Then gradually it toppled down and down onto ground as the two warriors pounced on it with a wild bestial nature. (Wink wink, I don't think Selafyn knows, yet.)

He walked over to the area with his bow and turned to the red haired archer with strange war paint across her face,

“Hey Elf, you handle yourself well don't you? What was that ice thing? That was cool.”

“I do, thank you, why do you ask?”

“Well if you wanted to join the companions guild then you meet several goals. You could join if you want but I couldn't give a shit for that cause Kodlak up in the mead hall does all that complicated work. If you do decide to join then I may be one of your teachers, good luck if you do. See you round.”

Selafyn stood there for a second as he tried to comprehend the straight up speech he got from someone he barely even spoke to. Well, he knew two things now. The companions are here and they are recruiting. Good. He ran ahead of the group and jogged into the city.

A blacksmith to the left of the gates so I walked over to a well built nord woman hammering at a piece of steel. I greeted her and said,

“Tell me dear blacksmith. How much does a very fine dagger cost?”

“Two hundred gold and I'll have it done for tonight.”

“Make it one and I'll help you out for two days.”

    “Deal.”

“Ok, I need to get some things sorted so I'll start helping tomorrow, ok?”

“Sure no problem. See you around mister?”

    “Frost Step.”

“Well then see you around Frost Step.”

As he turned around, the imperial girl from the giant attack stumbled out from behind a small tavern and ran up the hill. Wait wasn't she one of the companions, and was she blushing?

Author Note- Hello my dudes, feelings brewing between them two. This may be the post I have for a long time as I am doing an essay for my creative writing course at college and I need it to become an author. So I may not be posting for a small while, sorry to all.
